Atlas Fallen Receives Free ‘Reign of Sand’ Overhaul Update

Atlas Fallen has received a significant update titled Reign of Sand, a free overhaul that aims to refine and enhance the recently released action RPG from Focus Home Entertainment and Deck13. Whether playing solo or co-op, both returning players and newcomers can expect a host of new features and improvements. This update is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

New Area: Source: Explore the divine realm of Source, accessible through mysterious portals. This area introduces new challenges and powerful Wraith abilities.

New Enemies: Face off against formidable new Wraiths, including the bulky Transmuter and the agile Morpher.

New Game +: Restart the game with all your progression, gear, and abilities intact. Discover new enemies, mechanics, and progression systems.

New Difficulty Mode “Nyaal’s Nightmare”: Exclusive to New Game +, this mode offers the ultimate challenge.

New Essence Stones: Customise your playstyle with 25 new perks and abilities.

New Open World Challenges: Engage in dynamic Corruption Breaches for intense combat and special rewards.

Reworked Introduction and Voice Acting: Enjoy a smoother narrative flow with new voice actors, including Ben Starr, known for his work in Final Fantasy XVI and Warframe, as the male playable character.

The update also brings new armours, customisation options, improved VFX, UI, sounds, and many other fixes and enhancements. Although players can carry over progress from their old character, starting a new playthrough is recommended for the best experience.

Focus Entertainment and Deck13 have also expressed their commitment to delivering an enhanced experience based on player feedback. Dessil Basmadjian, Chief Creative Officer at Focus Entertainment, commented on this update, saying:

We constantly listen to our communities, and our first objective was to address player feedback, often voiced in forums and online reviews. The free Reign of Sand update will provide an enhanced experience, offering improvements across all aspects of the game.
