Even without E3 being hosted this year, a variety of developers and publishers are filling the void by hosting their own livestreamed showcase events, featuring updates on their latest games, announcing new projects, and a few other surprises here and there. For publishing and development powerhouse Ubisoft, that will take the form of their Ubisoft Forward event, streaming on 11 June 2024 at 5.00AM AEST. And yes, this once again highlights the conundrum of residing in a country like Australia, loving a good night’s sleep, but also wanting to watch these events live.
Ubisoft has shared some more specifics about what the event will include. The event is confirmed to be showcasing exclusive previews of Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and the recently released XDefiant, among other titles. A 30-minute pre-show will commence at 4.30 AM AEST, highlighting upcoming updates for their live games.
The conference will be streamed on Ubisoft’s official website, as well as on their Twitch and YouTube channels. The YouTube stream will offer viewing options including English subtitles, audio description, and American Sign Language. Alternatively for those watching on Twitch, there are a few other enticing opportunities.
Viewers watching on Twitch, whether through the Ubisoft channel or co-streaming in the “Special Events” category, can earn up to nine Twitch drops by linking their Ubisoft account. The rewards are as follows:
