CyGames has announced the third major update (Version 1.3.0) for their recently released action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. This update includes new quests, the addition of Sandalphon as a playable character, the introduction of a Photo Mode, and an assortment of other content.
New Character and Challenges
The free update, Version 1.3.0, introduces Sandalphon, a new playable character. Known as the protector of the Sky Realm, Sandalphon originally appeared in the Granblue Fantasy browser game as the leader of the four primarchs, angelic beings governing the four elements. Players can unlock Sandalphon by completing specific in-game requirements or by purchasing his Character Expansion Set as paid DLC.
The update also adds three challenging quests featuring powerful boss-level monsters. Additionally, Lucilius, the formidable foe from the Version 1.1.0 update, returns in an even more menacing form in a new quest titled “Zero,” promising to challenge even the most experienced players.
Photo Mode
A new Photo Mode is included in this update, allowing players to capture and share moments from their Relink adventure. This coincides with CyGames hosting their first Photo Contest, encouraging players to share their best shots taking in the new Photo Mode on Twitter (X), using the hashtag #RelinkPhotoContest. More information on this month-long contest can be found on the official Granblue Fantasy: Relink website.
Other Updates
Other update features include Sigil Synthesis, which allows players to fuse legendary sigils to mix sigil traits; a map overlay, which displays key locations, treasure chests, and wee pincers; as well as new control scheme options.

New DLC content will be offered as part of this patch, which includes new emote expansion sets and item packs for upgrading characters, weapons, and sigils. The DLC for Steam and their associated prices (in USD) can be found below:
