During this weekend’s Devolver Direct presentation, Devolver Digital together with Australian developer Massive Monster announced their next free update for Cult of the Lamb, titled Unholy Alliance, will be available on all supported platforms starting 12 August 2024.
The major introduction of this update is local co-op, through the introduction of newly playable character Goat – with one controlling Lamb and the other controlling Goat. The update also features new two-player variations of existing minigames like fishing and knucklebones. Players can choose from a selection of corrupted weapons, tarot cards, curses, and relics for their co-op crusades.
In co-op mode, the Lamb and the Goat can swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back-to-back, or land a critical hit if their attacks are in sync. Solo players will also receive new powers and abilities, to ensure they aren’t left at a disadvantage for going it alone.
In addition to co-op play, the Unholy Alliance expansion includes new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and other secrets.
