Artificer (who previously developed 2022’s Showgunners) and Devolver Digital have announced a new game, Sumerian Six, during the PC Gaming Show. This real-time tactical stealth adventure game follows the Enigma Squad, a team of commando scientists, as they embark on secret missions to fight Nazis, uncover arcane mysteries, and use experimental technology to influence the outcome of WWII.
In Sumerian Six, players control a diverse group of characters, including the exiled chemist Rosa Reznick, Wojtek the Werebear, and the esoteric psychoanalyst Siegfried von Adelsberg. Each team member brings unique abilities based on their scientific expertise, and players must strategically combine these skills to overcome challenges and defeat enemies.
As players progress, they will encounter occult-scientific weapons and ancient Sumerian artefacts tied to the antagonist Hans Kammler, a former member of the squad now leading the Nazis’ efforts to harness supernatural powers. The game promises a mix of playful violence and super science, requiring players to stealthily navigate Nazi strongholds and creatively use their team’s abilities in tactical combat.
Players can experience the game’s first two chapters by downloading the demo available on Steam. A final release date for Sumerian Six has yet to be confirmed.
