On Sunday 9 June 2024 at 10am PT, Xbox Game Studios will be hosting their annual Xbox Games Showcase. This event will feature games from the Xbox Games Studios library and their broader portfolio of studios including Activision, Blizzard and Bethesda Softworks – in addition to a range of titles by third-party partners.
However, at the conclusion of the main festivities, there was a locked in, second mystery conference that would be confirmed at a later date. That later date is now, with confirmation that this stream will focus exclusively on a “special deep-dive” into the next instalment of the Call of Duty franchise, titled: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Believed to be one of the major reasons why Microsoft acquired the video game studio Activision, and a key focus in the regulatory disputes around their acquisition, time will tell whether this first instalment in the long-running first-person shooter franchise under the Xbox Game Studios banner is a top or a flop.
The streams themselves will be held over Youtube, Twitch (Xbox and XboxASL) and Facebook — featuring support for not only over 30 languages but also American Sign Language and English Audio Descriptions.
