Not shy to offer custom skinned Xbox Series X consoles for their philanthropic and sponsorship interests, Xbox ANZ together with Cure Cancer, in partnership with Dr. Arutha Kulasinghe from The University of Queensland have today unveiled three custom Xbox Series X console designs, inspired by Kulasinghe’s cancer research. Each of the three consoles will be ultimately auctioned off, with the proceeds going to support Cure Cancer’s work towards their namesake.
The designs of each console + controller combo aims to draw inspiration from Dr. Kulasinghe’s spatial tumour mapping approach developed in collaboration with Akoya Biosciences and Nanostring Technologies, a process that allows medical experts and specialists to identify cellular architecture and areas of that are resistant to treatment for the first time.
Auctions are currently now open, with the Blue, Red and Green designs currently at $800, $550 and $506 respectively. All three consoles will remain on display at the Microsoft Experience Centre in Westfield Sydney until 30 April 2024, before being sent out to the lucky auction winners.

We are extremely proud of Dr Arutha. Being able to see resistance and sensitivity to current generations of cancer therapies at the time of diagnosis is groundbreaking, and it can be life-changing for those who are going through cancer treatment.
