While specifics on when HoYoverse’s latest 3D action-game will be launching is still to come, the developer and publisher did use this morning’s PlayStation State of Play live showcase to show their urban fantasy ARPG, Zenless Zone Zero, will receive a PlayStation 5 release. This will be in addition to the originally planned PC, iOS and Android versions, and given this announcement has come well before the game’s final release, I imagine will be available on Day 1.
This announcement was complemented by the below trailer, seeking to showcase the characters from Cunning Hares and Belobog Heavy Industries, as well as the urban environment of Eridu.
Zenless Zone Zero is HoYoverse’s next major 3D game venture, following the ongoing successes of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. The game takes place in a contemporary civilisation which has been destroyed by a supernatural disaster known as ‘Hollows’. New Eridu, the last urban civilisation that survived the apocalypse, manages to thrive by acquiring the technology to extract essential resources out of the Hollows. Players will embark on an adventure as Proxies who cooperate with distinctive Agents and unveil the unknown mysteries behind New Eridu and the Hollows.
