With Spy x Family continuing to be one of the hottest anime and manga franchises out there at the moment, it should come as little surprise that a video game adaptation would be in the works. But what type of game? An RPG? A hack-n-slash? How about one where you create a photo diary for Anya Forger.
Pitched as a ‘slice-of-life’ game, SPYxANYA: Operation Memories has received a 28 June 2024 release date for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. A PC release via Steam is also in the works, but no release date has been provided for this version as of writing. While a standard edition of the game will be available, a digital Deluxe edition will also be offered, featuring two DLCs featuring outfits and accessories for the Forger family, in addition to special items.
No day is ordinary for the Forgers and for a little girl as lively as Anya. The young telepath has been given a mission from Eden College: she must create the most amazing photo diary ever! Players will help and accompany Anya throughout her days as she captures and makes unforgettable memories in various ways and places. Whether at home, at school or during an outing, opportunities for special moments are everywhere.
SPYxANYA: Operation Memories is the first video game adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s popular Spy x Family multimedia franchise, and is an “Exciting Outdoor Adventure” game developed by Groove Box Japan.
