ZeniMax Lock In The Elder Scrolls Online’s 2024 Road Map with ‘Gold Road’ Chapter

ZeniMax Online Studios has officially announced the next major chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online series, titled The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road. Slated for release on 3 June for PC/Mac and 18 June for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, this chapter introduces a significant expansion to the ongoing saga. The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road sets out to deliver 30 hours of new main quest content, continuing to expand the game’s world with fresh narratives centered around unseen characters and inviting players to revisit and explore new yet familiar zones within the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion setting.

This year’s chapter continues the narrative that began in the previous year’s Necrom Chapter. Players will delve into the story of Ithelia, a Daedric Prince previously unexplored in the Elder Scrolls series. The quest involves thwarting the plans of Ithelia’s most fervent followers, navigating the political and social intricacies of Wood Elves, and safeguarding the inhabitants of West Weald from the tumult brought about by the Forgotten Prince’s resurgence.

In addition to the main quest, The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road will introduce two new zones and a novel system known as Scribing. This feature allows players to collect and personalise skills to tailor their experience even further. By modifying their character’s primary, secondary, and tertiary effects, players can fine-tune their playstyles in ways never before possible in ESO, offering a more tailored and immersive gaming experience.

Preceding the chapter’s release, the Scions of Ithelia dungeon DLC will kick off the 2024 content roadmap on 11 March for PC/Mac and 26 March for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This PvE DLC will introduce players to new two and four-player dungeons, Oathsword Pit and Bedlam Veil, setting the stage for the events that will unfold in The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road.

The Scions of Ithelia DLC, available through the ESO Plus membership or for purchase in the in-game Crown Store, will challenge players to seek vengeance on behalf of the God of Curses and defend the enigmatic stronghold of the Demiprince of Maelstrom.
