Announcing a big milestone for their Nintendo Switch exclusive release of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, publisher and developer Square Enix has confirmed that the newest addition to the Dragon Quest Monsters series has achieved global shipment numbers of 1 million units. This accomplishment comes soon after the series marked its 25th anniversary, and follows the game’s launch on 1 December 2023.
In recognition of this sales milestone and to express gratitude to the players, Square Enix is offering a complimentary “Mighty Meat Platter Set” to all Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince players. This downloadable content will be available for free on the Nintendo eShop from February 1 at 9.00am PT / 5.00pm GMT. The “Mighty Meat Platter Set” includes various in-game items such as Manky Meat, Monster Munchies, Smoked Sirloin, Meaty Treat, Beastie Bites, and Better Beastie Bites. These items will automatically be added to the player’s inventory upon restarting the game after download.
The game takes players on a captivating journey through Nadiria, a fantastical world where they assume the role of Psaro, the antagonist from Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. In this role-playing adventure, players become Monster Wranglers, tasked with recruiting, training, and leading a diverse array of over 500 monsters. The goal is to assemble a formidable army for battle and earn the title of Master of Monsterkind.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch, both in retail stores and digitally through the Nintendo eShop.
