With the clock ticking away until Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases on the PlayStation 5 starting 29 February 2024 globally, Square Enix has shared a new trailer and screenshot batch for their upcoming RPG. Titled ‘Destined for Rebirth’, this trailer sets up the conflict between Cloud and his companions (including Tifa, Aerith, and Barret) against his archnemesis, Sephiroth.
In addition to sharing details about the planet-spanning threat posed by Sephiroth, the trailer also provides a sneak peek at other moments in the game, including the Terror of the Deep boss, the Junon ceremony and Nibelheim Incident, and a first glimpse at newly imagined creatures and characters like the Midgardsormr.
In addition to the trailer, the new screenshots and renders shared this month focuses on Junon and the Shinra-8 Ship that ferries the party between Junon and the beach-side town of Costa Del Sol. Additionally, Cait Sith and Yuffie’s combat styles are on display:
