Gamers in Australia can sometimes feel a bit isolated from the plethora of activities undertaken across North America, Europe and Japan – but sometimes – especially for those residing in capitol cities, we get some truly unique opportunities. Square Enix and Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia are collaborating on a special event for fans of Final Fantasy VII, today announcing the ‘Golden Date Night’ in-person event, inspired by the iconic in-game setting.
The event is scheduled for 14 February 2024, from 7 pm to 10 pm at Fortress Sydney, Central Park. According to the organisers, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an array of activities. The evening will feature complimentary arcade games, a special screening of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, a trivia event and more. Prizes will also be on offer, including a PlayStation 5 and other Final Fantasy VII items.
Obviously, one of the main draw cards, tying in with the game’s upcoming release, is the opportunity for attendees to enjoy a snippet of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth ahead of its official release on 29 February. Additionally, a custom cocktail themed around the event will also be offered.
For those interested in attending this exclusive ‘Golden Date Night’, registration for double-pass tickets is available through a ballot system. Fans can register their interest via this Gleam event link. The registration is currently open, and potential attendees are encouraged to participate before the ticket draw, which is set to be held on 8th February. Access to the event will only be granted exclusively to eligible ticket holders and their guest.
