Following the closure of SINoALICE’s global servers a few months back, Pokelabo are set to discontinue the original Japanese service of SINoALICE starting 15 January 2024. Unlike the Global Server or the earlier closed Taiwan server which more suddenly ceased service and instead received an alternate, arguably less satisfying ending, SINoALICE Japan’s team managed to steer the game’s narrative to a more proper conclusion, concluding with a final guild battle and, in true Yoko Taro style, a bit of a different ending to many mobile games.
But if you are like me and were a little bit behind in the story, there is a way of skipping straight to the final chapter, The Act of Desire. To do this, you must:
- Go to the home screen and click on your displayed character (the same screen as pictured on the left)
- With the screen turned on, you must shake your phone at least 100 times in 30 seconds. To confirm this is working, a music box tone will play with increasing volume.
- Once completed, you can go through the prompts and accept.
This will not unlock any characters or story content you haven’t already unlocked, however does mean you can just play through the Act of Desire through to its end. This is perfect for those who may have not played for a while but still wish to complete the chapter alongside their guild / friends. If you don’t have anyone else playing, you can create your own guild and solo it, which while not difficult per ce, might not be practical if you have a brand new account – given gacha, premium currency etc is no longer active.
Still, it is a nice gesture towards those who are time poor, and harkens back to a similar hidden cheat featured in NieR: Automata which took the community years to find.
SINoALICE Japan opened on 6 June 2017 and is set to conclude service on 15 January 2024 on iOS and Android platforms (all other supported platforms are no longer active).
SINoALICE Global launched in March 2020, and ceased service on 15 November 2023.
