Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio have announced the release of God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla, a free downloadable content (DLC) for the critically acclaimed God of War Ragnarök. Available from today, this DLC offers players the opportunity to delve deeper into the Norse mythology-inspired universe of God of War.
God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla presents an epilogue to the main events of God of War Ragnarök. Players will reprise the role of Kratos, the series’ protagonist, embarking on a personal and introspective journey. This new chapter aims to enrich the narrative experience of the base game, providing additional context and depth to Kratos’ story.
The DLC seeks to merge familiar combat elements from the base game with “experimental” elements inspired by the roguelite genre. During each attempt at Valhalla, you will learn and adapt to the challenges Valhalla has to offer. The more you overcome, the more resources you’ll gain that can be put towards permanent upgrades that affect both Kratos and even Valhalla itself.
