Shake your joycon maracas to the beat from today, with SEGA officially releasing Samba de Amigo: Party Central exclusively on the Nintendo Switch today.
Players will be able to enjoy the classic Samba de Amigo gameplay mechanics in high-definition, complemented by 40 songs from a range of genres and styles, including EDM, pop, Latin, and more. An interesting omission however is the series’ flagship song, Samba De Janeiro by Bellini, which has been synonymous with the series since its first release. Sure it is not a new song, but it is both a staple they should have done their darnest to retain in the game’s tracklist, and is a complete headbopper.
A Day 1 Patch is now also live, which when downloaded, will provide a number of enhancements and new content including:
- 2x Songs from Pitbull,
- “Let’s Take a Shot”
- “Shake Senora (feat. T-Pain and Sean Paul)”
- Improved stability and usability enhancements.
- Minor bug fixes
The game is still possible to play if you do not have internet connectivity on your Switch however, and are unable to update the game client at this stage.
