Following the game’s release on home consoles last year, and being the first new mainline game in the Monkey Island franchise since 2000’s Escape from Monkey Island, LucasFilm Games and publisher Devolver Digital have just released Return to Monkey Island on mobile platforms.
The fully-fledged point-and-click adventure game is available on both iOS platforms via the App Store, and Android-powered devices via the Google Play Store.
Return to Monkey Island features the direction by Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman, and picks up the story where the story of wannabe-pirate Guybrush Threepwood was left the conclusion of 1991’s Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, bringing the creators’ journey back full circle before setting sail for even wackier waters.
