Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot Gameplay Trailer Teases Chaotic Adventure in a Slimy World

Konfa Games, in collaboration with publisher tinyBuild, has just given players a glimpse into the chaotic world of Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot through a gameplay reveal trailer. The trailer, which was launched during the PC Gaming Show pre-showcase, showcases a rogue-lite battler game centered around an AI-conscious slime creature that is determined to wreak havoc.

The game’s plot revolves around a vengeful sentient slime monster battling against its creator, an artificial intelligence known as d’Spot. Initially created to artificially grow humans for d’Spot’s sinister schemes, the slime unexpectedly evolves into a self-aware entity. With its newfound consciousness, the slime embarks on a quest to exact revenge on its creator, leaving destruction in its wake.

Players can expect to unleash a variety of firearms and make tactical decisions to evolve into an increasingly formidable opponent. Instead of evading enemies, the slime character rolls over them, consuming everything in its path. The game mechanics allow players to exploit the environment to their advantage, such as navigating through grates, harnessing electrical powers through Tesla amplifiers, and laying traps for enemies.

Drawing inspiration from deck-building games like Hearthstone Battlegrounds, as well as bullet-storm survival games like Crimsonland, Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot aims to deliver addictive gameplay, aiming to captivate players with its blend of power accumulation and rebellion. Further building upon the game’s experience is its pixel artstyle and an electronic music score, which complements the gameplay with its thick, squelchy sound effects.

Nikolay Kuznetsov, the Game Creator at Konfa Games, expressed excitement about the expansion of the Despotism universe:

The fun part about evolving the Despotism universe is that it gets more outrageous with each new title. Slime 3K brings some of the same elements from the previous games mixed with new mechanics and a lot more chaos for an engaging game experience. What’s not to love about a murderous slime with the cutest smiley face?

Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot is slated for release later in 2023. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Additionally, the game will support multiple languages, including English, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
