The collection’s online features allow players to battle others online in various modes, trade Battle Chips, and exchange NetNavi Customizer programs. Additionally, for those looking to speed through each title, the new Buster MAX mode enhances the normal MegaBuster shot by 100 times during each game entry.
The Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection also offers 499 Patch Cards previously exclusive to Japan, a gallery featuring over 1,000 illustrations, a Music Player with 188 tracks, an interactive 3D MegaMan.EXE PET in the launcher screen, and an optional high-resolution filter for improved visuals.
Set in the near-future interconnected world of Net Society, Mega Man Battle Network follows Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, as they confront the forces of cybercrime. Players control MegaMan.EXE as he navigates the net, engages in grid-based combat, and utilizes Battle Chips to defeat various viruses.
