In attendance at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s recent PlayStation State of Play livestream, Capcom shared more information and assets about their upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4, which is currently in development for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
In the new trailer at the top of the page, we see Leon in his fight for survival – with sneak peeks of gameplay, and perhaps a few secrets for series veterans to uncover. The trailer also confirms the return of The Mercenaries, the extra game mode that appears throughout the series. It will not be built into the original release, but will be available as free post-launch downloadable content.
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 gamers will also get to enjoy a demo of Resident Evil 4 ahead of its launch. It is currently unknown when this will be made available, but with a 24 March 2023 release date, expect it in the coming days or weeks.
