With the release of Genshin Impact Version 3.5 at the beginning of next month, we will have had the ability to (potentially, if lucky enough) unlock each of the Sumeru story arcs main characters. Therefore until we dive into the next major update (4.0), we are potentially set to receive a much broader spectrum of characters from across all four major released nation states – Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru.
It is a tradition in the days leading up to a new update launch, that HoYoverse takes to their social media platforms and teases the future characters of the update following the one being launched. In this case, we have new artwork for two familiar, yet-unplayable faces – Dr Baizhu from Liyue who has been an occasional story character since the early days, and Kaveh, who was first introduced at the end of the Sumeru main story.

Baizhu
There’s a pharmacy in Liyue called Bubu, and in it is Dr. Baizhu. His skills make all illnesses better, but his medicines are really bitter! He is also the caretaker of Qiqi, who helps out at Bubu Pharmacy.
Like Yao Yao, Baizhu is a dendro-element user and could not be practically applied in-game until Dendro was fleshed out. If you have been wanting to add them to your party, soon will be your chance.
Kaveh
A renowned architect from Sumeru, known as the Light of Kshahrewar. He is one of the most high-profile figures in the industry. Kaveh is also of the dendro element, and is the roommate of Alhaitham at the Akademiya.
