Star Citizen Pledge Sales Commence for Crusader Spirit Series of Spacecrafts

One of the newer in-game ship brands to receive flyable ships in the ‘Verse, Crusader Industries has hit the mark with some of the better designed ships in recent years – often combining chicness with military practicality. The next ship to become available for Star Citizen backers to pledge towards is the Crusader Spirit series, a set of three mid-price ships (The C1 Spirit, The A1 Spirit, and The E1 Spirit), each focusing on a different purpose.

Below is a bit of a synopsis around each ship:

The C1 Spirit (Cargo)

The C1 Spirit is tuned for hauling, with the ability to transport large volumes of freight or small vehicles. However, its flexible design allows for a degree of improvisation that makes the Spirit the perfect everyday ship without sacrificing any of the functionality of a dedicated career vessel.

Promoted Features:

ROOM TO PROSPER: Tuned for mid-range cargo delivery and courier jobs, the C1 packs an impressive 48 SCU into its compact hold.

SINGLE-HANDED HEAVY HAULING: The C1 comes factory equipped with an all-purpose, industrial-grade tractor rig, capable of assisting in tricky cargo collections.

PROTECT WHAT’S YOURS: Loaded with four forward-facing guns and twin missile racks, the C1 is a force to be reckoned with under fire.

UNMISTAKABLY CRUSADER: Though much smaller in frame than the massive ships that put it on the Starmap, the lines and silhouette of the Spirit series are unmistakably Crusader.

The C1 Spirit can now be pledged for $100 USD as Warbond, or $110 USD as a standalone purchase using a combination of cash and in-store credit.

The A1 Spirit (Bomber)

The A1 Spirit is equipped with a bespoke ordnance system loaded with a payload of ten bombs. However, its flexible design allows for a degree of improvisation that makes the Spirit a perfect everyday ship without sacrificing any of the functionality of a dedicated tactical vessel.

Promoted Features:

DOMINATE THE BATTLEFIELD: Based on the Daisy Chain system used in the iconic A2 Hercules, the compact Chaplet rig utilizes twin racks with five-bomb payloads.

WARRIOR’S EDGE: Tackle the most dangerous missions with a rear-facing manual turret, front-facing laser cannons, and dual missile racks.

UNMISTAKABLY CRUSADER: Though much smaller in frame than the massive ships that put it on the Starmap, the lines and silhouette of the Spirit series are unmistakably Crusader.

With the usual premium price that bombers tend to come with, the A1 Spirit can be pledged towards for $155 at Warbond or $175 at Standard pricing.

The E1 Spirit (Executive)

The E1 Spirit redefines executive travel with VIP accommodations and panoramic viewing portholes. Its flexible design allows for a degree of improvisation that makes it the perfect everyday ship without sacrificing any opulence or comfort.

Promoted Features:

SYSTEM SPANNING COMFORT: The E1 is fully loaded with a lavish passenger cabin fit for VIPs, complete with luxury seating, MixMaster, and refreshment services.

A VIEW TO REMEMBER: Extra-large viewing portholes make for exquisite views whether in or out of planetary atmosphere.

VENTURE SAFELY & CONFIDENTLY: Stay safe where your find yourself. A Size 2 remote turret join the stout base weapons package, which includes dual missile racks.

UNMISTAKABLY CRUSADER: Though much smaller in frame than the massive ships that put it on the Starmap, the lines and silhouette of the Spirit series are unmistakably Crusader.

More in the touring / executive travel niche which pulls typically higher prices albeit more questionable gameplay functionality at this time, The E1 Spirit is the mid-priced option, available for $135 at Warbond and $150 at Standard.

In development by Cloud Imperium Games and their studios across North America and Europe, Star Citizen is being helmed by Wing Commander (1990s) creator Chris Roberts. The game has currently been in a long-term alpha phase with no confirmed release date. Despite this, the studio has raised more than $500 million USD through on-going crowdfunding. Please keep in mind should you decide to purchase towards Star Citizen, that this is an incomplete project and that you are pledging towards an extended crowdfunding campaign with no 100% guarantee of a finished product.
