Persona 5 Royal Launches on PS5, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch

Bidding adieu to the game’s long-time PlayStation exclusivity, ATLUS has rolled out a new, multiplatform release of Persona 5 Royal, making it now available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC – with the Xbox Game Pass route being arguably the most affordable option to play easily one of last-gens best JRPGs. This release contains no new content over the original PS4 release of Persona 5 Royal, however does include all previously released DLC for both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.

Unfortunately, for those who already own Persona 5 Royal on the PlayStation 4, there is not only no free upgrade route to the PS5 version, meaning that you must pay full price for the same game, but there is also no cross-save support, meaning you need to start your adventures from scratch again.

While it may not be worth it to upgrade if you already own the original release, for those who are new to Persona 5 Royal, might be very worthwhile nabbing yourself a copy! For more information on Persona 5 Royal, check out my review HERE.
