More adventures in Sumeru await on 2 November 2022, with developer HoYoverse confirming that Genshin Impact v3.2: Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises will be launching on North American, European and Asian servers on this date. This update to the free-to-play open-world adventure-exploration game will see the final instalment of the main Sumeru Archon Quest, culminating with a battle against the third Fatui Harbinger Boss, The Balladeer; new playable characters, events and more.
After the Sabzeruz Festival, Samsara and a trip into the deep deserts, the Sumeru Archon Quest is drawing to a close. While the Traveler teams up with various characters to rescue Nahida from The Doctor’s nefarious plot with the Akademiya, the third Fatui Harbinger boss will stand in their way. During the playable boss fight, The Balladeer will transform into a massive mechanical-looking puppet with two forms and multiple elemental abilities. In this last stand, a little floating device might be the key to turning the tide. If you haven’t seen the preview of this fight in the trailer below, definitely check it out, as it looks of a much grander scale than anything Genshin Impact has offered players to date.
Meanwhile, Nahida,aka the current Dendro Archon, has been the Traveler’s reliable ally throughout the main storyline, and if lady luck favours your Wish pulls, you may be able to obtain her as this update’s 5-star character. The first dendro-element catalyst user, she can cast unique damage effects on her opponents. Her power can be further enhanced if she teams up with Pyro, Electro, or Hydro characters.
On the other hand, Layla is an Akademiya student in Astrology who can sleepwalk to reveal her true power. A four-star character, she wields a sword and the power of Cryo, and she can provide both shielding and Cryo damage for the team. Nahida and Yoimiya’s rerun will be featured in the early part of Version 3.2’s Event Wishes, while those after the shrine maiden Yae Miko or Childe’s re-run will also be able to more easily obtain Layla as part of their banners in the latter half.
New events and gameplay also await, including “Fabulous Fungus Frenzy,” a fungus competition in which participants can catch and train Fungi to battle in different challenges. Another event, “Adventurer’s Trials,” has prepared some tricky trials that can be completed with our trial characters, such as knocking Slimes into the Vine Goal by triggering an Overloaded reaction with Yanfei’s and Klee’s attacks. In addition, the new Dendro Hypostasis will complete the puzzle of the Hypostasis family, serving as a new open-world boss and a part of the challenge “Hypostatic Symphony”.
Additionally, more other random improvements are being introduced to Genshin Impact. For those who like to decorate their Serenitea Pot, the ‘Replication System’ is being introduced, allowing players to share their realm designs and/or implement others’ in their Teapot. Furthermore, Italian and Turkish languages will be available from the in-game language settings.
Developed by HoYoVerse and now in its third year of operation, Genshin Impact is now available to download on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android platforms. While free-to-play, the game is supported via premium currencies and a wish “gacha” system.
