Following their previous efforts on porting games like Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Uncharted to the Windows PC from long-time PlayStation exclusivity, Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be launching on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC starting Thursday 27 October 2022.
A spin-off game from Media Molecule an Sony Interactive Entertainment’s LittleBigPlanet series, Sackboy: A Big Adventure was first made available on PlayStation consoles to coincide with the launch of the PlayStation 5 in November 2020.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure will feature the same base-game experience as the PlayStation versions, albeit with a few visual features to take advantage of PC hardware. These include:
4K with target @ 120FPS
The stunning patchwork of Craftworld is rendered in beautiful 4K detail.
Deep Learning Super Sampling
NVIDIA DLSS2 increases graphics performance using dedicated processors found only on GeForce RTX GPUs, boosting frame rates with uncompromised image quality.
Variable refresh rate support makes Sackboy more responsive than ever.
The game supports a wide range of display ratios, including ultrawide 21:9.
It should go without saying that while the options to max out visual settings are there, performance will depend on what your system specs are. Sony Interactive Entertainment has shared the below minimum/recommended spec sheet for Sackboy: A Big Adventure:
Full-support for the Dualsense controller on the PC will be included with the game, alongside the option to play with the typical mouse and keyboard. Furthermore, the game is also confirmed to support achievements and cloud saves on both the Steam and the Epic Game Store platforms.
