Originating as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in western markets as a collaboration between Level-5 and acclaimed animation studio, Studio Ghibli, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch remains a defining RPG experience of its generation, walking away with my 2013 Game of the Year award and still holding up to this day. Fortunately, gamers don’t have to track down an old used copy, with a Remastered version now available on multiple platforms, and as of today, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered features the full original game, including its spectacular 3D cel-shaded anime-style visuals (with a bump in quality), charming story and enjoyable RPG mechanics. As the game was a complete experience in the first place, the main difference from its original release is the remastered visuals.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is now available on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as either a standalone purchase, or as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. It has also been confirmed that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will also be made available on Xbox platforms in 2023.
