What Secret Lies in the Woods? Little Goody Two Shoes Announced

Being developed by the Portugal-based development team AstralShift and published through the Square Enix Collective initiative, it was this week confirmed that work is underway of Little Goody Two Shoes, pitch as a “mysterious new fairytale anime adventure with a dark twist”.

Little Goody Two Shoes is a narrative-focused horror RPG set in the mysterious Kieferberg Village, and is inspired and seeks to pay homage to the original PlayStation and early PlayStation 2 era RPGs. The tale follows Elise, an ambitious girl determined to become rich and escape her humble life. Players will step into Elise’s shoes and soon find themselves immersed in a 90’s inspired horror role-playing adventure game.

Gameplay elements such as ‘Sustenance’, ‘Reputation & Suspicion’ and ‘Exploration & Narrative’ will guide players to complete their daily tasks by day and uncover the woodland’s darkest secrets by night. Players will also have the ability to set their own paths to navigate through the wicked woods, solve puzzles and build meaningful relationships – ultimately delivering what they hope will be a “nostalgic gaming experience”.

More information, including specifics about Little Goody Two Shoes‘ release date and gameplay mechanics are scheduled to be announced in the future.
