Roller Champions Launches on PC, PlayStation, Xbox as F2P PvP Sports Game

Need a new online multiplayer game to catch your attention? Feel the need to get some skating action in without needing to… you know… but on skates and go outside? Ubisoft has released Roller Champions, a free-to-play cross-play and cross-progression supported PvP Sports game, now available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC – in addition to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility.

In Roller Champions, layers compete against each other in teams of three, to be the first to reach five points by making arena laps and throwing the ball through the hoop. Teammates must work together, dodge, and tackle efficiently to keep ball possession and control the pace of the game. Claiming victory over opponents is the key to gaining fans and climbing up the leaderboards, all the way to the Elite Champions’ league. Along the way, cosmetic items– outfits, goal effects, air poses and much more – can be unlocked for players to fully customize their athlete.

Players have the option of playing Roller Champions either with friends, or alone against similarly skilled opponents through a matchmaking system. Profiles and progression are kept across all available platforms with the cross-progression system. Between matches, the skatepark allows players to meet up, learn new tricks and participate in mini-games together.

Love or hate the system, Roller Champions will feature the usual Season Pass system found in other similar games. Kickoff Season is currently underway, running from now until 21 June 2022. The season introduces three arenas and two time-limited game modes. Exclusive cosmetic items can be unlocked with the Roller Pass, a reward system split between a free and a premium track.
