When CrunchyRoll Games released Princess Connect! Re:dive in western markets, the game had already enjoyed a few years of service in Japan, meaning there were question marks over certain events – especially crossover events – ever being localised and made available. At least one such event will be coming over, with the publisher confirming that the 2019 crossover event with Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- will be running on servers starting early May.
What does this crossover event entail? Several elements. The first is that there will be two ‘focus gacha’ events, making Rem available to pull from 2 May – 15 May, followed by Emilia for a limited time from 19 May – 1 June. Both are limited characters during this event, and while both can be redeemed via character points, neither will be added to the standard Premium Gacha rotation after their respective events conclude. Between the two focus gacha events, a separate one featuring the vampiric Illya, princessly Maho, and punchy Kaori will be available from 15 May – 19 May.

First off – say hello to Rem, the first of our special crossover Focus Gachas! Who’s Rem, you ask? She’s one of the twin maids working at the Roswaal Mansion, and has found her way over to the world of Astraea. She’s brought along her trademark ball and chain, which she’ll use to protect the ones she cares about from those who would harm them, with a toolkit that can dish out damage, freeze enemies in their place, and heal any damaged allies. A maid has to be prepared for anything on the job!
Make way for the silver-haired half-elf herself! One of the most important characters in Re:ZERO, Emilia, also gets her own time to shine with her own special Focus Gacha. Like in the Kingdom of Lugnica, Emilia is ready to use her skills as a spiritual arts user in Astrea as well with skills that boost her own stats, deal magic damage, and a Union Burst that can heal and protect her allies. Her friendly spirit companion, Puck, also makes a cameo appearance in one of her skills!
But what about Ram, the sister of Rem? Well, she will be made available as a free character through the event-specific story event “coming soon” titled Re:Zero Sharing Lunch in Another World. The story event features characters from Re:Zero in a crossover tale as they find common bonds with the people of, and fight enemies within the world of Astraea. This event also features unique, exclusive boss battles broken down into three difficulties: Normal, Hard and Very Hard. Those craving an extra challenge will also be able to gain access to a Special Difficulty boss.
After beating the main boss on Normal Difficulty, you will be able to obtain the exclusive free unit – Ram. Ram might not be the easiest to talk to but she sure speaks up loudly on the battlefield. Make sure to recruit her onto your side before she has second thoughts.
