Once servers go back online today, the Japanese and North American servers for Final Fantasy XIV may be looking a little emptier. Patch 6.08 is currently in the process of being implemented in-game, with servers expected to go live in the next hour or so, bringing with it the Oceanian Data Center aimed at players in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.
The Oceanian Data Center consists of one logical data center (Materia), with five worlds to be accessible at launch – Bismarck, Ravana, Sephirot, Sophia and Zurvan. Players looking to join the server, as either new players or through transferred characters, will be eligible for a range of bonuses including free server transfer, EXP bonuses, and more. Final Fantasy XIV is a long-running MMORPG which makes use of a monthly subscription model using real world money. However, it does feature a free trial, which is currently postponed due to server congestion caused by increased interest and the launch of its newest Endwalker expansion pack. You can now purchase it on the PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
