Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Headed to PS4, Switch, PC in March 2022

While all other games in the Persona 4 franchise have made their way onto some modern-day platform, the one exception was Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax – two 2D fighting games co-developed by ATLUS and Arc System Works for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Controversial at the time for being one of the only disc-based console games to have region locking in the west, the wait (for some) was worth it given the reunion of beloved characters, competent combat and a storyline…. okay, in hindsight, the story was a mixed bag. But hey, it was the first crossover game featuring characters across Persona 3 and Persona 4, two monoliths in RPGs at the time.

This will all change from 17 March 2022, with ATLUS West confirming that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be headed to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) on this date.

This release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will feature all previously released Persona 4 Arena Ultimax content, including the original Persona 4 Arena story. The collection will also feature both the original Japanese and English voice acting.

Steam will feature an exclusive Midnight Channel Collection, which includes both Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 Golden. For a limited time, this bundle will be available at a 30% discount, and fans who already own Persona 4 Golden on Steam will unlock the same discount off Persona 4 Arena Ultimax when completing their Midnight Channel Collection. Via Steam, the A Midnight Channel Collection – Deluxe Edition is also available which includes Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 Golden – Digital Deluxe Edition with the same discounts. Pre-orders for the Steam version are now open, with pre-orders launching on the PS4 and Switch at a later date.
