While there are many still waiting for their chance to actually purchase a PlayStation 5 more than a year after the new generation consoles first arrived on store shelves, there is some news from Sony Interactive Entertainment for those who own the console and wish to accessorise their console and peripherals. The company has today confirmed that three new colours will be joining the PlayStation 5 colour accessory offerings – Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. Joining the already existing Midnight Black and Cosmic Red, these colours will first be featured in DualSense Wireless Controllers set to roll out at select retailers from next month.
In addition to the new colour offerings for controllers, five new console covers will be released to match each current wireless controller colour – Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple. Below is what SIE had to say about these new covers:
The new covers are beautiful and easy to use. Simply swap your original white PlayStation 5 console cover and click your new one into place. PlayStation 5 console covers will be available for both the PlayStation 5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and are sold separately from the PlayStation 5 console and DualSense controller.
The new DualSense wireless controllers will be priced at $119.95 AUD each, with new console covers also available for $84.95 AUD.
