Sony Celebrate 5 Years of PlayStation VR – Free Games for PS Plus Subscribers in November

While their newest PlayStation 5 console was not built to natively support the system (requiring the use of an adaptor), the PlayStation VR is still an interesting element of the history of PlayStation and continues to see developer support to this day. Designed as a more affordable entry into the virtual reality market without compromising quality, the PS VR released five years ago today – with a selection of games at launch including EVE Valkyrie, PlayStation VR Worlds and, my favourite, RIGS Mechanized Combat League. With the 5-year anniversary taking place today, Sony Interactive Entertainment took the time to confirm how they will be celebrating it…. did somebody say free games?

As part of the PlayStation Plus’ free game collection for November 2021, active subscribers will gain access to an additional three PS VR bonus games. More details on what these games will be are expected in the coming weeks.

Development for the PlayStation VR continues, with a new model expected to be released for the PlayStation 5 in the future. Games in development at the moment include Moss Book II, Wanderer, After The Fall, Humanity, Puzzling Places, Zenith: The Last City and more.
