Idea Factory International has confirmed that the next Neptunia game they will be working on is Dimension Tripper Neptune: Top Nep, being released for the PC via Steam in Early 2022. This is the next in a long line of spin-off games to the RPG franchise, which started multiple console generations ago on the PlayStation 3. The series focuses on a world ruled by four nations – based on the consoles of PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, and (the never-released) Sega Neptune, from which the franchise gets its title.
With its title taking a bit of inspiration from the movie Top Gun, Dimension Tripper Neptune: Top Nep is set to be an old-school on-rails shooter. Players are tasked with guiding an older version of Neptune as she takes to the skies with the help of her state-of-the-art Generator Unit. You will be tasked with flying and combating your way through five stages and bosses based on the different Gamindustryi Nations. And if you gather enough coins on each stage, a friend will assist you with attacks. Challenge yourself and see what your highest score can be.
Now, put on your gaming goggles, Maverick, and ready up for the wildest Neptunia ride of your life!
At the moment, Dimension Tripper Neptune: Top Nep is only planned for release on the PC, with no console versions announced to date. No Steam page has been launched yet, but expect one soon.
