While games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Grand Theft Auto V deserve all the recognition and acclaim they receive, the fact they are still getting released while fans await the next major instalment in their respective franchises can understandably get frustrating. It is to the point where this has become a trope in itself. Well, with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim celebrating its 10th Anniversary, a special Anniversary Edition has been announced for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and – for the first time – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S natively.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition includes the full base game (Special Edition) and all previously released downloadable content (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn). What sets this version apart from others is that it contains over 500 pieces of Creation Club content, including quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more.
In addition to this announcement, the Skyrim developer panel at QuakeCon 2021 announced that there would be an anniversary celebration concert of the game’s original score performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. The event will be live-streamed on 11 November 2021, with more specifics to be announced in the months leading up to it.
