Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Launches in May 2021

First and only released on the PlayStation 2, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne is one ATLUS’ RPGs which have been unavailable either digitally or in-stores for quite some time. Considered a cult classic in the series, and (depending on the version you bought) also united Capcom’s Devil May Cry series with the Shin Megami Tensei universe, a HD Remaster of the game will launch on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC starting 25 May 2021.

Available both digitally and physically to pre-order from today, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster features the following improvements over its original release:

  • Remastered 3D models and backgrounds
  • Additional difficulty settings for players of all skill levels
  • Suspend save – save your progress whenever you need!
  • Voiced audio – choose between Japanese and English VO
  • An alternate branch featuring Raidou Kuzunoha
  • This version will also feature fixes and patches implemented since the remaster’s original Japanese release.

For those who were introduced to the Megami Tensei series primarily through its Persona franchise, Nocturne offers a much more serious, linear experience compared the spin-off series. However, having played the original release, it is worth checking out!

For those looking to acquire a Digital Version, you may want to consider picking up its Digital Deluxe Edition will allows you to play the game four days early and take advantage of the following goodies:
