Headed to the PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 4 in 2021, Neptunia Virtual Stars is due to be the latest spin-off game in the Hyperdimension Neptunia media franchise, this time being a music-based hack ‘n’ slash game which merges the franchises’ history of adapting and parodying video game memes with the current popularity of VTubers.
Western publisher Idea Factory International has this morning shared profiles for two of the V-Idols, virtual idols from distant dimensions who have been summoned to save Planet Emote from the Antis, and rescue the Vtubers who have been kidnapped by them.
These profiles focus on Me and You, two members of V-Idol group Mewtral who will serve as two of Neptunia Virtual Stars’ protagonists.
Me
Me is a new protagonist, and a member of MEWTRAL alongside her partner, You. They’re both aspiring virtual idols (better known as V-Idols). She is a firecracker, as lively as she is sometimes crass. Her bravery is commendable, with a willingness to tackle any obstacle with glee.
You
You is a new protagonist, and a member of MEWTRAL alongside her partner, Me. They’re both aspiring virtual idols (better known as V-Idols). Her calm and collected demeanor can only be stopped when her curiosity is piqued. Her malignant inclinations cause her speech to become venomous from time to time. Beware.
