ATLUS Share Opening Sequence & Protagonist Trailers for Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

While it took ATLUS many years to bring the characters of their popular JRPG’s Persona 3 and Persona 4 together in one game, those awaiting a crossover title featuring the cast of Persona 5 won’t have to wait nearly as long. As we stand somewhere between the release of Persona 5 and a (currently-unannounced) Persona 6, we are being tided over by a number of side-games based off their familiar formats – P3D and P4D on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita which are rhythm games akin to Persona 4: Dancing All Night in 2015, and of interest in this instance, a sequel to the dungeon-crawling RPG Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth.

Uniting the characters of Persona 3Persona 4Persona 5 and Persona 3 Portable for the first time, Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth will see the members of S.E.E.S., the Investigation Team and the Phantom Thieves come together to tackle new labyrinths with different cinematic theming to each of them.

Ahead of the game’s 29 November 2018 launch on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, ATLUS have recently shared the game’s opening sequence, in addition to four preview trailers focusing on the lead protagonist of each game. Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is notable in that it is the first “canon” Persona game to feature the P3P female protagonist, who has been requested for inclusion in many of the other side-games to date.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth (ペルソナQ2 ニュー シネマ ラビリンス) is due to be released exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan from 29 November 2018.

No English release plans have currently been announced by ATLUS USA, who will be releasing Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight early in the new year.

But given this is a Persona title, it is likely a matter of when rather than if ATLUS USA plan to release a localised version of this title.
