Date:

Following its run during Adelaide Festival earlier in the year, GWB Entertainment and Andrew Henry Presents has today confirmed that Hedwig and the Angry Inch will be pivoting across to Sydney’s Carriageworks for a new season starting 17 July 2025. Tickets for the Sydney season will go on sale to the general public at 10:00am on Tuesday 29 April 2025 via the production’s official website.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is an 85-minute no-interval production features iconic numbers such as The Origin of Love, Midnight Radio, and Sugar Daddy, delivering a powerful story of identity, resilience, and love.

The lead role of Hedwig will be performed by Seann Miley Moore, with Adam Noviello as Yitzhak and also the alternate Hedwig. The production features a live band and seeks to offer audiences a combination of irreverent humour with emotional depth. Co-directed by Shane Anthony and Dino Dimitriadis, the creative team includes musical direction by Victoria Falconer, choreography by Amy Campbell, lighting design by Geoff Cobham, set design by Jeremy Allen, costume design by Nicol & Ford, and sound design by Jamie Mensforth.

Before arriving in Sydney, Hedwig and the Angry Inch will open at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre from 13 June 2025 for a limited run. Are other legs of a national tour around the corner? Time will tell!
