New Summer School Holidays Tickets Go On-Sale for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella

We may not have come to the end of Term 3 in the school holiday calendar, but, if you are looking for some Summer school holiday entertainment for the family – producers Crossroads Live Australia and Opera Australia have opened ticket sales for a number of new performance dates for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella in Sydney. Pre-sales for dates up to 22 January 2023 are now on pre-sale to select groups, and will commence public sales this coming Friday.

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella recently concluded its Melbourne and Brisbane season, and will be waltzing into the Sydney Lyric Theatre this October for a surprisingly long season. Whether 22 January is the concluding date or not, has yet to be confirmed.

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is pitched as offering a “fresh new take on the beloved tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid into a princess”, combining “the story’s classic elements – the glass slippers, pumpkin, a beautiful masked ball and more – along with some surprising twists”. They seek for her to be pictured as a “spirited young woman with savvy and soul, she not only fights for her own dreams, but forces the prince to open his eyes to the world around him and realise his dreams too”. That is what they say, but how did I find the production? You can read my review of the Brisbane season HERE.

Tickets for Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella start at $69.00, with higher ticket prices indicating better viewpoints of the stage or preferred performance dates/times. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster, with all booking information available via the production’s official website.
