Tickets For Mary Poppin’s Brisbane Season at QPAC Go On Public Sale

No more waitlists, no subscriptions to mailing lists – if you want to purchase tickets to the upcoming Brisbane season of Mary Poppins the Musical, you can do so right now. Following a week of pre-sales, tickets to the upcoming Brisbane season of Mary Poppins the Musical at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) are available for anyone to purchase via the official QPAC Website or by phoning QTIX on 136 246.

With the season being presented by Theatrical Productions Australia, Michael Cassel Group and Cameron Mackintosh, Mary Poppins the Musical will be presented in the Lyric Theatre starting 22 October 2022 for a strictly limited season. Ticket prices range from $59.90 to $189.90, with increased prices indicating better seat locations, more popular sessions and/or other details. Separate pricing will be made available for schools and groups of more than 10.

The stage adaptation of Mary Poppins was co-created by Cameron Mackintosh, with a book by Julian Fellowes, and original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. Much like all of Disney’s film to stage adaptations, although certainly retaining much of the charm that we grew up watching ourselves, Mary Poppins the Musical features new plotlines and I would argue has a more broader appeal to teenagers and adults than their source material.

MARY POPPINS is a timeless musical that has a great Queensland connection with original author PL Travers born in the Queensland town of Maryborough. This production of Travers’ much-loved story fittingly features two acclaimed Queensland musical theatres stars with Stefanie Jones as Mary Poppins and Jack Chambers as Bert leading a brilliant all-Australian cast.

When MARY POPPINS was last at QPAC in 2012, it wowed audiences and we know it will do the same again for a whole new generation. We know Brisbane audiences love musicals and MARY POPPINS, with the creative might of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh behind it, is one of those that sets the bar incredibly high for all other productions. It will surely be a must-see musical and will no doubt be one of our most popular seasons of the year.
