New Cast Members Announced for Hayes Theatre Co’s Production of Jekyll and Hyde

After previously confirming that the main cast of their production of Jekyll and Hyde would consist of Brendan Maclean as Dr Jekyll and his evil alter-ego, Mr Hyde, Georgina Hopson as Emma Carew and Brady Peeti as Lucy Harris – Hayes Theatre Co. has formally confirmed the remaining cast members of the production.

The newly announced cast members include Melanie Bird (Next to Normal),  Mitchell Cox (Grease)Madeline Jones (Muriel’s Wedding)Luke Leong-Tay (Dubbo Championship Wrestling), Rob McDougall (Les Misérables)¸ Sarah Murr (Bonnie & Clyde), Billie Palin (HMS Pinafore), Matthew Predny (Gypsy), Mitchell Roberts (Next to Normal) and Rutene Spooner (Jersey Boys).

In this new production based on the original novels, patrons are taken to 1947 London, where the Second World War is over, but the battle for our soul rages on inside St Jude’s Military Asylum. Featuring a pop rock soundtrack with hits from Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse, viewers are able to enjoy the narrative complemented by songs such as This is the Moment”, “In His Eyes”, “Someone Like You” and “A New Life”.

Jekyll and Hyde‘s Sydney season is being directed by Hayden Tee, with musical direction by Chris King, musical supervision by Nigel Ubrihien, choreography by Siobhan Ginty, set designs by Melanie Liertz, costume designs by Mason Browne, lighting design by Anthony Pearson and sound design by Paris Daniel.
