The Game Music Foundation has set June 2026 for the sixth Game Music Festival in London, splitting events between Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall and Fairfield Halls. The series will feature five live concerts alongside an education program.
As with previous GMF events, each concert focuses on a single franchise or composer, and is set to offer a music experience that is genuine, without or with only limited on-stage visualisations and electronic amplification.
Across the month, the schedule is as follows:
- 6 June: The Infernal Symphony, music from the Diablo franchise, Royal Festival Hall
- 13 June: The Colors of Harmony, Hitoshi Sakimoto 40th Anniversary Celebration, Fairfield Halls
- 19 June: An Evening with Troy Baker and Austin Wintory, Fairfield Halls
- 27 June: Ballads of the Underworld, music from Hades and Hades II, Royal Festival Hall
- 27 June: Persona Grooves, music from Persona 3, 4, 5, Royal Festival Hall.
Opening on 6 June, The Infernal Symphony surveys three decades of Diablo music. Maestro Marek Wroniszewski will lead the London Mozart Players with the Hertfordshire Chorus, performing new arrangements by Ignacy Wojciechowski. Special guests include Lead Composer Ted Reedy and Music Director Derek Duke.
On 27 June, Ballads of the Underworld turns the spotlight to Supergiant Games’ Hades and Hades II. The concert will highlight vocal pieces with original performers Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett joined by special guests, alongside the London Mozart Players conducted by Grammy nominated and BAFTA winning Austin Wintory.
The festival concludes later that evening with Persona Grooves, marking the Persona series’ 30th anniversary. The Bartosz Pernal jazz orchestra will perform with the London Mozart Players, and composer Shoji Meguro is slated to appear as a special guest.
In addition to the concerts, an education program will run throughout June with masterclasses, panel discussions and other sessions featuring industry guests. Full details for these events will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for Royal Festival Hall concerts are on sale now via the festival’s official website. Tickets for Fairfield Halls dates will follow soon.
