SEGA to Host Sonic the Hedgehog x Steve Aoki Virtual Concert

Turn up the volume and get ready to enjoy some Sonic the Hedgehog music. Continuing their 30th Anniversary for their 2D/3D platformer franchise, SEGA has confirmed they are teaming up with EDM artist/DJ/producer Steve Aoki to host a virtual concert event. In addition to celebrating the franchise’s anniversary, the concert will coincide with Aoki’s birthday.

The stream will commence at 7.00am AEDT on Wednesday 1 December 2021 via the official Sonic the Hedgehog Youtube and Twitch channels.

Set in a digitally created and immersive Sonic Universe, this one-of-a-kind concert will transport audiences to iconic environments like the Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant and more as they rock out to their favourite Sonic the Hedgehog jams, EDM style. The 60-minute set will feature original songs from Steve Aoki, as well as Aoki-remixed versions of fan-favourite Sonic tunes from the 16-bit SEGA Genesis era to today.

In advance of the concert, SEGA has shared the below Behind-the-Scenes video.
