Dallas-based publishing house Crossed Hearts has announced the formation of a new imprint dedicated exclusively to Girls’ Love narratives. Titled “GLAM BEAT!”, the label will focus on publishing Yuri, Baihe, and other light novels and comics that center on romantic relationships between women. The imprint is set to officially debut this coming April with the release of its first title.
The inaugural series for the imprint is Borrowing Your Textbook 175160, a high-school yuri manga created by Taa RO. The narrative focuses on the relationship between two students with a notable height difference: Su Yao, who stands at 175cm, and Liu Xi, who is 160cm. The story premise involves a relationship that begins with a simple request to borrow a textbook and evolves through shared desks and small interactions into a deeper romantic bond. The series is scheduled to launch digitally in April 2026.
Crossed Hearts has stated that Borrowing Your Textbook 175160 is the first of 12 releases planned for the imprint’s first year. The publisher aims to curate a mix of content including Japanese Yuri manga, Chinese Baihe titles, and Korean Girls’ Love works. The distribution strategy includes both digital-first releases and premium print editions. According to the publisher, physical releases will be designed with collectors in mind, potentially including extras such as acrylics.
A representative of Crossed Hearts provided a statement regarding the selection of the debut title and teased an upcoming announcement for a Chinese Baihe series.
