The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls U149 Manga’s Conclusion Approaches After 8-Year Streak

With 16-volumes published, an (in my opinion) really good TV anime adaptation which is more than deserving of a second season, and a range of in-game events within the game it is based on (The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage), a post this evening made by the manga’s author Kyowno has shared that The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149 will finally be coming to its conclusion.

An exact date and number of chapters have yet to be confirmed, but the author has changed the pace of production in order to give more time to storyboard and ultimately create these final chapters.

Thank you always for your support.

“The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149,” which started in 2016, is finally approaching its conclusion.
In line with this, the publication schedule will change to three weeks on, one week off, and then another three weeks on.
The pace so far has unfortunately resulted in fewer pages per publication, and I needed a solid block of time to work on the storyboards for the conclusion, so we decided on this format. It will feel like taking a break about once a month.
Originally, I thought the story would conclude around the time the seasons in the story had come full circle, so after the Summer Live part ended, I vaguely mentioned this to my editor, and we finalized the remaining number of episodes and other details, leading to this timing.
Games, anime, and manga each allow for different possibilities.
Therefore, I hope to present developments that can only be achieved through “comicalization.”
I would be delighted if those producers who have continued to support us, as well as those who might think, “Are they still doing this?!” would see the story of the Third Talent Department through to the end. Please continue to support us until the last!

The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls U149 follows the ‘Third Entertainment Division’, an agency which focuses on many of the younger idols featured in the video game franchise – as well as their young and relatively petite himself producer who protectively guides them through the complexities of being an idol. True to its name, the characters features in this anime are those whose heights are 149cm or under. While tackling the challenges of the Japanese idol industry, it is also a very wholesome watch / read.

Like most other instalments in the broader franchise, English-language distribution is patchy. The TV anime is available to stream via CrunchyRoll, however no manga publisher has picked up the license for it.
