After months of being in both Gallery 1 & Gallery 2, Gold Coast City Gallery at The Arts Centre Gold Coast will be concluding their How to Make a Monster Exhibition next weekend. Launched in March, this exhibition celebrates the art and technology of animatronics, and highlights how animals, monsters and more have been brought to the screen in very creative means without losing any realism.

A few days before closing on June 10th, Gold Coast City Gallery will be hosting a special Monster Movie Marathon. For $25.00, attendees are invited to Gallery 2 where they will be able to watch five cult monster movies back-to-back into the wee hours of the morning. On offer will be John Carpenter’s 1982 sci-fi horror The Thing, John Landis’ 1981 horror-comedy An American Werewolf in London, and the 2004 horror Dawn of the Dead by Zack Snyder.

Each Monster Movie Marathon ticket includes normal entry (Valued at $5) to the How to Make a Monster exhibition any day from June 10th to 12th.

Get ready for a harrowing night of monster movies! Tickets can be booked online, or by contacting The Arts Centre Gold Coast box office on (07) 5588 4000.
