Skeb Commissioning Platform Goes Down for Most of Day

The nightmare of any web developer – your bedazzling website app is there one day, and completely gone the next. Today as of 12.22pm (JST), users of the creative commissioning platform Skeb (Skeb.jp) were greeted with the above notification from the service’s web host, telling them that “There’s nothing here, yet”. Turns out that the platform, which recently celebrated reaching 2.5 million registered users, is down.

In a full statement by Kazunari Kida, they have “decided to transfer all of Skeb’s systems and servers to another cloud service”. Pending any changes or other issues arising, they note that “[t]he transfer is currently progressing smoothly”, and that they aim to have Skeb live “by the end of today at the earliest, or tomorrow at the latest”.

For those who have requests with a due date of 23 December or 24 December, they are being extended to 11.59pm (JST) on 25 December.

Update 24/12: Skeb is now live again
