Remow has announced that the anime adaptation of Tougen Anki is set to return with a new installment. Titled the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, this latest chapter in the dark hero series is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
The series is a reimagining of the Japanese folktale Momotaro, based on the manga written and illustrated by Yura Urushibara. It depicts a world where the bloodlines of the Oni and the Momotaro Agency have been locked in conflict for thousands of years. The story follows Shiki Ichinose, a boy who discovers his Oni heritage after an unexpected attack and subsequently begins a journey to understand the power within his blood.
As the production moves into its next phase, two additional cast members have been confirmed. Nobuhiko Okamoto joins the series as Hagure Nekosaki, a part-time instructor at Rasetsu Academy who appears polite while assisting with a new training regimen for the students. Kent Ito will voice Yu Innami, another instructor at the academy who maintains a positive and passionate attitude toward training despite his poor physical health.
Director Ato Nonaka leads the production team of Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, supported by assistant director Hiroyuki Hashimoto and character designer Ryoko Amisaki. Yukie Sugawara is responsible for the series composition and screenplay. The returning lead cast includes Kazuki Ura as Shiki Ichinose, Hiroshi Kamiya as Naito Mudano, and Koutaro Nishiyama as Jin Kougasaki.
