Toho Co., Ltd. has released a new trailer, key artwork, and details about the opening theme for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, a spinoff anime set before the events of My Hero Academia. The series is scheduled to premiere on Monday, 7 April, and will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll outside of Asia, with new episodes releasing weekly, concurrently with Japan.
The latest trailer introduces the opening theme song, Kekka Orai, performed by Kocchi no Kento, best known for another one of their songs, Hai Yorokonde. The trailer is in Japanese, however English subtitles are available by turning on closed captions.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is based on the manga of the same name by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi. The series is directed by Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders; Cells at Work!), with series composition and scriptwriting handled by Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia; Trigun). The animation is produced by bones (Gachiakuta).
